Glasgow & South Western Railway Police

1865 - 1922

Glasgow & South Western Railway Police were established in 1850. In 1922, it became part of London, Midland & Scottish Railway Police.

Duncan Macmillan of Dalmuir, formerly of the Glasgow and South Western Railway Police Force applied for the post of Chief Constable of Dundee rendered vacant by the death of Mr John Carmichael in 1931.
