Superintendent F H Fuggle

Superintendent F H Fuggle

Superintendent F H Fuggle was born in Tenterden, Kent and joined Portsmouth City Police in 1913. Early in World War One he joined the Royal Flying Corps serving mainly overseas.

Returning to Portsmouth in December 1918, he joined the CID and was promoted Detective Sergeant in 1924. He was promoted Inspector in February 1932, Chief Inspector September 1932 and Superintendent in May 1936. In January 1942, he became Detective Superintendent in charge of Portsmouth CID.
